Born in the City of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Got involved in music at a young age, Started playing serious music at Church. Got my early inspiration at New Life for all fellowship around 1983, then Victory Fellowship, to Bulawayo Christian Centre, worked a lot with youth For Christ Bulawayo, then got discovered by Trevor Sampson at a convention in Megaliesburg South Africa in1990, I was then a Music teacher in various schools after I completed my music studies at the Bulawayo academy of music where I specialized in classical piano. i was then offered an invitation to join YFC South Africa with the 'Youth Harvest Teams' comprised of members picked from various parts of the world. The opportunity presented to me took my musical appetite to another level, we were on tour the whole year, after that contract expired I decided to take my newly discovered passion to another level, I started working with various prominent music producers in South Africa. The Likes of the legendary West Nkosi, Tom Mkhize of Zakho Productions, Jabu Sibumbe from Stimela, JB Arthur, Victor Masondo, Don Laka, Itani Madima. The List goes on. I then established myself as a session musician, firstly on guitar and bass guitar. Then when Don Laka heard me play some Classical piano music, he insisted I take my piano very seriously as I was a gifted musician. 
I've done so many things and I couldn't possibly include in a short Bio. An unfortunate incident that almost took away my life led to my wake up call. I was robbed at gun point by a syndicate that was after my musical gear and money at my home studio. The incident left me much traumatized and very angry, however life had to go on. I decided to make my mark in this world, no more playing second best and living in other people's shadow. That's when I re invented myself as Simple Tember from my traditional name Themba Gwatidzo. I needed to retain the phrase Themba, so I borrowed ‘Tember’ from the month of September, Simple Tember defined me best.
I am a very talented individual, a duke of all trades and just about a Master in everything I set out to do. I take great pride in my work. I am always positive, focused, a trend setter and a go getter. I am very ambitious and make no apologies for that. I'm currently not where I believe I am destined to be, it's OK, and however I am so determined to make it right to the top. Beyond every shadow is the light, I'm beginning to feel the sun rays, a few more steps I will be completely in the light, partaking of my  God given heritage and  fulfilling my destiny.
